The MDA Compact IV is the T-Mobile branded version of the HTC Touch Diamond. The T-Mobile version has nicely rounded edges and it weighs less - only 98g compared to the 110g. Apart from a few minor cosmetic changes the Compact IV is near identical to the Touch Diamond.
The T-Mobile MDA Compact IV is a slim touchscreen phone powered by the highly customisable Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. It has a clever TouchFLO 3D system, in T-Mobile’s white and magenta colour scheme, that allows your photos and music to be searched as you rotate the phone, or via finger gestures on it’s impressive screen.
The screen itself is a 2.8 inch TFT-LCD with full VGA resolution meaning you have plenty of room to view pictures from the onboard 3.2 megapixel camera, or movies stored on the 4GB internal memory. Browsing the web on this phone is great too as the large touchscreen is complimented by broadband like speed thanks to the HSDPA and Wi-fi data connectivity. GPS completes the impressive feature list.

4 months FREE on a 12 month contract!
The HTC Touch Diamond is now widely available at all online retailers. The best deal is on Orange Dolphin 40 (12m) with a free Touch Diamond, 600 xnet minutes and 500 texts per month for £40 line rental.
The deal also comes with £160 cash back, which is equal to 4 months free line rental and needs to be claimed in four stages by sending off your bills. Or, instead of cash back you can choose a free gift such as an iPod nano, Nintendo DS Lite (£9.99 charge) or a set of GHD Hair Straighteners.
This offer is so good that I’m going to order one for myself, I just need to decide on a free gift.
The HTC Diamond brings Windows Mobile to the mainstream. It features HTC’s clever TouchFLO 3D interface. If you haven’t seen the Touch Diamond click on the phone image for more information and compare HTC Touch Diamond deals from all leading UK retailers.

Expected this summer on Vodafone, the BlackBerry Thunder 9500 has a new Touch user interface and a new BlackBerry touch-centric operating system. It features 3G and GPS, and is likely to run on the latest 624 MHz processor.
It’s interesting that this new device has been leaked just days before the launch of iPhone 3G. The BlackBerry Thunder promises excellent media playback facilities with a wide aspect video player and a built-in music store similar to iTunes.
In other BlackBerry news this week, there have been some new colour variations launched on existing BlackBerry devices. The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 Silver is now available in silver, as is the BlackBerry Curve 8310 Pink and the BlackBerry Curve 8310 Midnight Purple.
